Alta-1
Alta-1 College is a CARE School that provides alternative education for young people who struggle to engage with mainstream schooling. The College provides relational and flexible curriculum, that is student focused to help address Social, Emotional and Psychological issues, whilst regaining an academic pathway towards secondary school graduation.
Church of Christ Albany partners with Alta-1 College, hosting Alta-1's Albany Middle School Campus, with students aged 11 - 15 (school years 7 - 9) attending.
The Middle School currently has over 30 students with 6 staff employed to work with the students. The staff are 2 full time and one part time teacher, a chaplain, and two education assistants.
